Dear Lorelei,

I was very sad to see your post about Joe. I did not know that he had been unwell. Blair chose the right words when he said Joe was kind, generous and quiet but the 'quiet' boy also had a great sense of humour. Our class had many great times together and I know Joe will be remembered as a very good friend, a talented guy and missed by many. Stay strong. He would have wanted it that way.

Dear Lorelei, I am so sorry to hear the very sad news about Joe.  Words do not seem sufficient to express my sympathy to you and your family.  We seem so far apart but I am wishing you a very warm embrace and hope that you will find some comfort at this difficult time.  My most sincere condolences to you and your children, Karrie

Dear Lorelei, so sorry to hear about Joe's passing.  I would also repeat Ruth's message.  Joe was very kind and you made an amazing couple.  What struck me so profoundly was how fast time has flown by.  Please know we are all thinking about you and send warm thoughts and hugs your way.  I feel at times far away from my vet classmates but at times like this my heart goes out to you far more than you know.

Lorelei,

I'm so sorry to hear about Joe, and about the long battle your family waged against multiple myeloma.  I remember Joe as a truly good and genuine guy - quiet, smart, great sense of humour....he was my anatomy partner that first year of vet school, and I aways appreciated his wit and unflappability.  I can't imagine the void left behind in your family.  I hope you find all the comfort and strength and support that you and your girls need to move forward.  Your family is in my family's prayers.

My sincere condolences to you and your family Lorelei.

His battle was long and courageous but unrelenting for the love of you, the girls and a zest for life. Silent Joe....quiet, unassuming, yet humourous, intelligent, caring, giving, loving. We will all miss him.

Rest in peace Joe.

Thank you everyone for all your kind words, thoughts and prayers- Joe would have been so flattered to hear such high praises from people he respected and liked as much as all of you. We are all doing ok - Joe raised three tough, resilient girls. If any of you are passing by Moosomin please stop in for coffee, or come stay for a visit.

Lorelei, Bryony, Brooke and Maya
